COVID-19 Update: May 20, 2020

COVID-19 Performance Update
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions on social gatherings, we are forced to continue the suspension of our activities and concerts through the month of June, and likely through the rest of the summer. This means all planned summer performances through the end of June are canceled, including our much anticipated “Music of the Knights” concert we had originally rescheduled for June 20th.
As we work through these difficult times together, we are taking these steps for the protection of our performers and audience alike, and in keeping with government guidance. We are aware many of you are holding tickets for performances that cannot take place at this time.
For those of you who held season tickets, we are giving you the following options as we move forward and plan for the future:
  • Donate the balance value of your unused season tickets to the City of Fairfax Band Association. Your donation will help us as we look to return to more normal operations next season.
  • Apply the value of your subscription balance to the purchase of individual or season tickets for our upcoming 2020/2021 subscription season.
  • Refund of the balance of your subscription.
For those patrons who currently hold individual tickets for the “Music of the Knights” concert originally scheduled for March 14th, please note the current plan is to present this performance on Saturday, October 24th at Fairfax High School. While we would like to honor your original purchase for that rescheduled event, we do need to know your plans for the event. We therefore ask that you consider the following options:
  • Donate the value of your tickets to the City of Fairfax Band Association. Your donation will help us as we look to return to more normal operations next season.
  • Exchange your ticket(s) for a ticket(s) to the rescheduled October 24th event.
  • Refund your ticket purchase.
Please be aware that although we expect at this time to be fully operational for our next season, circumstances beyond our control with regards to local government and CDC guidance may change our plans again. We hope this is not the case!
We need to hear from you regarding your choice. Please contact us by going to THIS LINK and filling out the form indicating your choice.
If we have you on record as an individual or subscription ticket holder and do not hear back from you by June 30, we will consider your outstanding purchase amount as a donation to the organization.
We wish all our patrons health and safety as we move ahead to a new season.
