The CFBA has started a new concert series with the cultural needs and safety of their patrons in mind: Flashback Concerts. Each concert in the series is a fan favorite from previous seasons and will be available “on demand” on the band’s You Tube Channel.
The opening concert of the Flashback Series is the ever favorite “The War Years,” a concert from 15 years ago, when the band was closing out its 35th anniversary year. This was a special tribute to The Greatest Generation featuring guest performers Eric Felten and The Swing Set.
Coincidentally this performance is very appropriate to our lives today. The 2019-2020 season was to be a special one for us as we celebrated 50 years of The City of Fairfax Band. Our “War Years” video is not only from another milestone year, it features music that takes on new meaning today, from John Williams’ Hymn to the Fallen to a very poignant closing rendition of I’ll Be Seeing You featuring our special guests.
