A Season Ticket covers all City of Fairfax Band and Main Street Band performances and includes a ticket to both of our very popular holiday concerts. All seats are general admission. If you need extra tickets to the holiday concerts, please order beginning November 1.

This thrilling concert features Johan DeMeij’s sweeping arrangement of The Phantom of the Opera, celebrating 40 haunting years of the iconic musical. The concert also features Verdi’s La Forza del Destino, John Mackey’s eerie Haunted Objects, and the epic tale of The Witch and the Saint by Steven Reineke. A Pocket Full of Posy blossoms with character and color as The City of Fairfax Band explores musical storytelling both old and new. At the heart of the program is Percy Grainger’s Lincolnshire Posy—a landmark work that reshaped the wind band world—paired with a brand-new commission by composer Nicole Piunno. We’ll also feature the winner of our annual Young Artist Competition (pending selection), along with timeless favorites by Lerner & Loewe and George Gershwin. It’s a rich, lyrical evening that celebrates the past, present, and future of great music.

Kick off the Fairfax Fall Festival with a burst of energy and color as the Main Street Community Band fills the morning air with music for the whole family! This lively outdoor concert features bold fanfares, toe-tapping dances, cinematic soundscapes, and timeless favorites. Enjoy the sweeping beauty of James Barnes’ Appalachian Overture, the Italian classic Funiculi Funicula, and the spooky thrill of Tarantella. We’ll also salute the late jazz legend Chuck Mangione with some of his greatest hits and sing along to beloved tunes from The Music Man. A perfect way to start your festival day!

Experience the nautical charm of Vaughan Williams’ Sea Songs, the beauty and power of Brian Balmages’ Rippling Watercolors, and the high-energy adventure of Hans Zimmer’s Pirates of the Caribbean. We’ll travel Beyond the Sea, sing along with classic sea shanties, and take flight with JaRod Hall’s epic new Skyward Spirits. A magical afternoon of music for ocean dreamers and sky explorers alike!

As we celebrate Fairfax’s annual ‘Spotlight on the Arts’ festival, the Main Street Community Band presents We The People, a powerful musical celebration of America’s past, present, and future. This thought-provoking program reimagines beloved folk songs and patriotic tunes through the voices of diverse and contemporary composers. From the bold opening of Fanfare for World Peace to the sweeping beauty of Ticheli’s Shenandoah and the powerful strains of Copland’s Variations on a Shaker Melody, each work offers a fresh perspective on familiar traditions. Highlights include Amanda Aldridge’s spirited march On Parade, Bernstein’s iconic America from ‘West Side Story’, and Andrew David Perkins’ contemporary masterpiece Tuebor. With something everyone can enioy, this is a concert to inspire and unite!
