Because of the unpredictable duration of the covid-19 pandemic, The City of Fairfax Band Association has again postponed the gala 50th anniversary “Music of the Knights” Concert, which had been re-scheduled for October 24. Outstanding tickets will still be honored on the new concert date when it is set.
The association looks forward to resuming its popular subscription concert series in 2021. The season will start once local venues re-open for use and it is deemed safe for the musicians and audience to meet indoors. Additionally, band leadership will evaluate outdoor options as they might arise.
Fans should note that some small ensembles are making a limited number of covidly-safe appearances at outdoor events in the community. Specifically, small units of Alte Kameraden are playing at a few popular October festivals.
