The City of Fairfax Band's oldest and newest ensembles, the Alte Kameraden German Band and the Main Street Community Band, join forces to present a toe-tapping evening of international and regional flavors. From authentic Bavarian blasmusik to expansive American symphonic panoramas, the program melds traditional German and American folk and patriotic music with majestic melodies. The program features a joint performance of highlights from Rodgers & Hammerstein's beloved Broadway classic "The Sound of Music."

CFB Starts New Band

The City of Fairfax Band Association, Inc. added its newest ensemble, the Main Street Community Band (MSCB), this year. The MSCB is an open membership, multi-generational "come and play" volunteer community ensemble of the City of Fairfax Band Association, Inc.
