The years 1969-1970 not only saw the first performances of the City of Fairfax Band. During that period there were many other “firsts” in the music world: Paul McCartney released his first “post-Beatles” album; Elton John had his first top 10 hit in the USA; and a young composer named Andrew Lloyd Weber released a concept album called Jesus Christ, Superstar, that would launch his Broadway show career. All three have been awarded the designation of “Sir” preceding their names by Queen Elizabeth II. To celebrate this 50 year milestone, the City of Fairfax Band presents Scott Coulter’s tribute, Music of the Knights, featuring guest Broadway performers paying tribute to these three giants of the music world. Make your plans now to attend this very special 50th anniversary celebration!
