The City Band is an all-volunteer ensemble consisting of over 100 members from all walks of life. Individual musicians must be able to demonstrate that they can perform the music played by the Concert Band or its ensembles to the satisfaction of the Music Director.

At this time, all sections of the City Band are full and most sections have a waiting list of prospective new members, including alternates.

If you would like us to consider adding your name to the waiting list for a particular section, please send an e-mail message to info@fairfaxband.org. In the message, please include your complete mailing address, daytime and evening telephone numbers, and e-mail address along with a brief statement of your musical experience. You will receive a prompt reply via e-mail acknowledging our receipt of your request.
