Main Street Community Band

The City of Fairfax Band Association, Inc. added its newest ensemble, the Main Street Community Band (MSCB), in February of 2009. Initially known as the Fairfax Community Concert Band, this band is led by Geoffrey K. Seffens, long-time Lanier Intermediate School band director and former director of the Vienna Concert Band. The band rehearses at 7:45 Wednesdays in the Fairfax High School Choral Room.

The MSCB is an open membership, multi-generational "come and play" volunteer community ensemble of the City of Fairfax Band Association, Inc. with a friendly, welcoming spirit promoting the personal rewards of making music with friends while encouraging excitement for music education and continued learning.

Saturday, October 8, 12 noon: City of Fairfax Fall Festival - Old Town Hall; Fairfax, VA
Saturday, December 10, 3 pm: Sounds of the Season; Woodson High School, Fairfax, VA
Saturday, March 18, 4 pm: Swingin' into Spring; Lanier Intermediate School, Fairfax, VA
Sunday, May 6, 4 pm: Spring Fling; Oakton High School, Vienna, VA
